The Cité in Beaune, capital of Bourgogne wines

The largest of the three Cités embodies Bourgogne’s overall identity, while highlighting the distinctive features of the different wine-growing areas (Chablis, Grand Auxerrois, Châtillonnais, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Châlonnaise and Mâconnais).

The Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne in Beaune is home to the main interpretation centre for Bourgogne’s vineyard Climats. Within the visitor trail, a space is dedicated to this model of _terroir_-based viticulture, the historic cradle of which is the Côte d’Or, but which shines throughout Bourgogne.
