Marine Protection and Nature Inclusivity
- Marine Protection and Restoration
Human activities increasingly impact natural areas, highlighting the need for effective conservation strategies. In the face of these challenges, integrating biodiversity conservation into decision-making processes becomes essential for achieving sustainable development
This workshop will explore how innovative approaches to marine protection, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem integration can enhance policy implementation and decision-making. The discussion will focus on how scientific knowledge, economic valuation and spatial planning can contribute to more effective marine protection and policy implementation.
The workshop is aligned with:
-
EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 – Aiming for 30% of European seas under protection, with 10% under strict protection.
-
