Despo Chrysostomou

I was born on March 20, 1977, in Nicosia. I have a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Cyprus, a master's degree in economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a master's degree in public administration from Neapolis University.

My professional journey began in 2007 as a Commerce and Industry Officer at the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, where I served until 2010. In 2010, I joined the Ministry of Health in Cyprus, where I worked for a decade. From 2020 to 2023, I was seconded to the General Secretariat of European Affairs, contributing to Cyprus’s engagement in EU matters.

Currently, I am seconded to the Cyprus Trade Centre in Dubai, focusing on strengthening trade relations between Cyprus and the UAE. With extensive experience in public administration, trade, and economic policy, I am dedicated to fostering bilateral economic cooperation and supporting Cypriot businesses in international markets.
