I am a Senior Researcher at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Tallinn, Estonia. I was awarded a PhD in Electronic Systems Engineering "Cum Laude" in the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain. I have over 12 years of experience working in the glass-ceramic and ceramic research field, developing functional materials in form of nanostructured powders, bulks and films, with a strong expertise in luminescent materials. My research is focus on the development of advance ceramic materials that combine light emission phenomena with various physical functionalities and property-generating features, including magnetic effects (magnetic ordering, nanomagnetism), electric properties (switchable dielectric constant, ferroelectricity), sensitivity to physical (temperature, pressure, electric and magnetic fields) and bio and security markers.
