Our Innovation Hub is a 317m2 multi-functional open plan office and meeting room space that hosts a collaborative community of ocean sciience technology developers and end-users from across industry and academia. Together, they work to advance the technology used to make ocean-based operations sustainable and cost-effective.

Through engagement with research programmes targeting scientific and industry-specific challenges, the Centre develops, demonstrates and facilitates the early adoption of new technologies.

We also coordinate communities of end-users, regulators, funders and other stakeholders to provide a focus for marine innovation in the UK and internationally.

The Hub is also home to our Ocean Catalyst Accelarator Programme. With over 60 years of ocean research and technology experience, NOC is uniquely positioned to support the advancement of new technologies for sustainable ocean exploration and research. We are now looking to harness this expertise to offer an ocean accelerator for early-stage marine technology development. 

Participants will benefit from skill-building workshops, mentoring, and access to NOC’s advanced marine facilities and state-of-the-art workspaces and laboratories, including test tanks, pressure pots, ballasting tanks, and also a deep-water test site.
