How to Participate
Eligibility:
You must be registered for the OILS25 conference. Your submission should align with the broad scope of the conference, covering any area of life science research, career development, or open science.
Submission Details:
Abstracts will be reviewed and accepted if they meet the above criteria. Make sure to indicate your interest for the online 7-minute pitch session during registration and submission.
Pitch Format:
- Talk: A 7-minute "pitch" followed by 3 minutes for questions.
- Presentation: Use PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, or PDF.
What to Cover in Your Pitch
Your presentation is your chance to attract attention and spark collaboration. Keep it concise and engaging, and cover the following:
- Topic: What is your research about?
- Problem/Question: What key question or problem are you addressing?
- Significance: Why is this problem important?
- Context: How does your work contribute to the broader conversation in your field?
- Current Status: What’s the current state of your research?
- Future Impact: What major advancements can be made, and which collaborations would help achieve them?
