About me
Ifigeneia Theodoridou is an Architect Engineer with a PhD in large-scale urban residential retrofitting (TU Darmstadt, 2012) and co-founder of e2 architects (2009). Specializing in urban energy efficiency and sustainability, she and her team provide retrofitting services and develop Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs) for private clients and local authorities. Driven by a passion for cities and technology, she focuses on innovative solutions to combat climate change, empowering cities to become resilient and carbon-free for future generations.
Since 2007, she has been actively working in climate change mitigation and adaptation, delivering energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization services for both public and private sectors. Her team consists of highly specialized experts, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of their solutions.
From May 2020 to May 2023, Ifigeneia was the sole beneficiary and coordinator of the EU co-funded project Re-Polis, which developed an integrated cloud-based platform for assessing the energy and environmental footprint of urban buildings.
Since June 2022, she has been leading CACC, an EU co-funded project developing a decision support software (DSS) tool to help cities combat climate change.
Her vision is to build a strong brand focused on developing innovative, user-friendly tools that promote urban sustainability, holistic decarbonization policies, and secure large-scale private-sector investments in carbon-free cities. By the spring of 2025, her goal is to bring two ready-to-market products to life. To achieve this, she seeks funding, coaching, and management support to ensure continuous product improvement, strategic market penetration, and further innovation for a sustainable future.
