My organisation

The institute’s scientific and research endeavors are organized into three centers: ·       Life Sciences and Biotechnology (LS&BC), ·       Population Diagnostics (PDC) and ·       Material Sciences and Engineering (MS&EC). These centers house specialized Research Groups, supported by state-of-the-art measurement laboratories and core facilities. About me

I graduated in Neuroscience from Jagiellonian University in Cracow and accomplished my Ph.D. at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS in Warsaw. During my master’s studies, I focused on the influence of stress and beta-adrenergic antagonists on G-protein-coupled receptor signaling in the brain. After moving to Warsaw, I switched to developmental neuroscience and began to study neurogenesis and neurotrophins. In Biology of Astrocytes research group at PORT I am mostly interested in sex differences in the molecular basis of neuropsychiatric disorders.
