Barbara Wellmann

Dr. Barbara Wellmann is the Lead of Quantum.Link, the technology innovation unit of Deloitte Consulting Germany that focuses on the implications of quantum technologies for the future of businesses and industries. She helps clients to leverage the benefits and to understand the risks associated with quantum technologies and works on developing suitable long-term implementation strategies within a business context. Her specific aim is to formulateeconomically and ecologically sensible concepts. Barbara completed her Ph.D. in applied laser physics at the MQ Photonics Research Center in Sydney, Australia. Prior to joining Deloitte, she worked for the boutique consultancy Förderbar, where she focused on disruptive startup incubation and innovation projects, and for DB mindbox, the startup hub of Deutsche Bahn. She combines extensive innovation management and digitization expertise with industry experience and a passion for new digital business models.
