Start-up

Grenoble, France

Silent Waves develops and sells traveling wave parametric amplifiers which are near the quantum limit. Two models are currently available, the Argo which is a dispersion engineered TWPA and allow to amplify a 1GHz band of frequency and the Carthago which is based on the reverse kerr effect. The Carthago allows to tune the frequency of amplification band depending on the microwave pump parameters whereas the amplified frequencies are fixed at the fabrication. Both of these amplifier can be integrated with the necesseray support component (directionnal coupler and isolator) in a product called the dreadnought.

About me

I did my PhD from 2016 to 2019 on the development of photo-multiplier based on DC polarized Josephson junction under the direction of Max Hofheinz in France (Cea Grenoble).

After that, I joined Gerhard Kirchmair as a Post doc to work on multiple superconducting project (see https://arxiv.org/abs/2407.10617 for example). There I participate in the development of a project for a kinetic inductance based traveling wave parametric amplifier. This project was then integrated in the TruePa project (https://www.truepa.eu/home/)..)

Finally, I joined Silent Wave in 2023 to be in lead of the research effort.

Silent Waves

We develop and sell traveling wave parametric amplifiers which are near the quantum limit.
