Région Hauts-de-France / Hauts-de-France Region designates the French regional authority (Council) of the Hauts-de-France Region. Hauts-de-France Regional Council is notably in charge of:

Regional planning. The Regional Council preserves, helps to achieve balanced development throughout its territory, promotes social progress and economic efficiency, while respecting the environment.

Economic development. The Region supports the creation, development and transmission of businesses. It also manages various European funding.

Sectorial Policies. The Regional Council develops policy frameworks supporting, among others, environment, health, research, sport and culture in its territory.

Secondary schools, apprenticeships and vocational training. The Region finances the construction and maintenance of the region's public schools establishments and supports vocational training schemes.

Regional public transport. The Region finances local trains (TER), ports and airports infrastructures and their facilities.
