A few interesting facts that I learnt during my trip 🛤️
💛Amber is believed to have formed from resins of several conifer tree species more than 40 million years ago. Mass resin excretion could have occurred because trees were trying to protect themselves from an unmet pest. Another theory speculates that massive volcanic eruptions took place and volcanic ashes coated the vegetation, hindering gas exchange in plants which resulted in intense production of resins.
