Seminar Title: The neuromuscular junction as a therapeutic target and source of biomarkers in ALS

Scientists have discovered that amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) begins at the neuromuscular junction (NMJ). It is there — before muscle weakness or paralysis appear — that early changes occur, potentially holding the key to developing new therapies.

On April 3 at 2:00 PM, Łukasiewicz – PORT will host a seminar as part of the SAME–NeuroID project. Prof. Richard Robitaille (Université de Montréal) will discuss the degeneration of neuromuscular junctions as:
- a therapeutic target,
- a source of biomarkers,
- and a field for innovative interventions in ALS.

The program will include the latest updates on ongoing clinical studies aimed at improving the quality of life for ALS patients.

We invite everyone interested in advancements in neurology!
