About

Remonta Verjus is a complex-tasting, non-alcoholic, acidic juice made from early-harvested Portugieser grapes. With a pH of 2.6 (acidic), it is a locally produced and environmentally friendly substitute for lemons and other citrus fruits.

This natural acidulant is ideal for cooking (pickling, salad dressings, mayonnaise, adding to tomato based foods) or for making refreshing lemonades and cocktails (1:10 dilution recommended).

Throughout its 5,000-year history, verjus has been widely used in gastronomy and medicine. Its many physiological benefits and its enriching flavour have made it a niche product. The pressed juice of green grapes is high in acidity and vitamins, rich in antioxidants and polyphenols.

With the use of Verjus you avoid:

  • long-distance transport of citrus fruits

  • lemon peel treated with chemicals

  • generation of kitchen waste

Available:

  • 750 ml - bottled

  • 3 L - Bag in Box - HORECA packaging
