Fabian Eckert's idea for RECUP was sparked by overflowing garbage bins and paper cups, leading him to create a deposit system for coffee cups. He co-founded RECUP with Florian Pachaly in September 2016, launching a pilot project in Rosenheim that proved reusable packaging works in the food service industry. Over eight years, RECUP expanded to over 20,000 partners and entered the Austrian market. Fabian is now Managing Director of the leading provider of reusable containers in catering. In 2021, he was recognized as a LinkedIn Changemaker and received the Bavarian Environmental Medal. Fabian studied Business Psychology and Leadership for Sustainability and was born in Munich on October 15, 1989.
