About me

The Innovation Service belonging to the Logistics and Innovation Sub-directorate of the Spanish National Police has the main task of identifying the technological needs for security within the Corporation and promoting their solution through Innovation. This is done from a holistic approach, through an action that has been called “Strategic Initiative of Innovative Public Procurement” (IECPI in Spanish). This action is articulated through a series of programs which comprise a number of projects. In total, the IECPI includes more than 75 projects, with a planned investment of €165,000,000, among which two major actions stand out, in technological surveillance phase, which will undoubtedly be catalysts for future projects financeable with Internal Security Funds:

“Forensic intelligence challenge in the National Police”, a project with an investment of €25,000,000 that CDTI manages together with the Spanish National Police, and aims to cover needs that range from the digitalization of processes to the use of mobility technologies and forensic intelligence.

The Public Consultation on the Market, framed in the financing proposal for the Innovation Promotion Line of the Ministry of Science and Innovation. In this way, the aim is to obtain information on products, services and solutions that allow us to address some of the identified challenges: telecommunications, information technology services and tools, protection of public spaces or technological disruption for the protection of the rights and freedoms of the citizens.
