ARAF Interim Management was started in 2006 by Mr. Selcuk Topcu RA. The reason for starting ARAF INTERIM MANAGEMENT is to realize our own vision of service provision in which the customer's demand is central. The reason for this is the successfully completed assignments and very satisfied customers. The motivation for this decision is confidence in our own abilities and effectively and efficiently contributing to the customer's objectives. We apply two elementary conditions to all assignments: Knowledge and experience;, Feeling for (business) service provision or the ability to cooperate. Our activities are focused on finance-related issues of large companies. Questions can relate to a wide range of activities such as implementation of (new) laws and regulations, project management, interim management, change management, temporary replacement, and filling various positions such as Controller, Senior Auditor, Risk/Audit Manager, Head of Financial Administration, Financial Accountant etc. Mr. Selcuk Topcu RA is a member of the Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (NBA) and complies with the NBA code of conduct. That is why we work in accordance with the following basic principles: Professional and Careful; Expert and Reliable; Objective and Honest. Last but not least Independent.

About me

Selcuk Topcu RA is a highly experienced independent interim manager. He has worked at Big 4 accountant offices and has a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in various topics within Audit, Risk, Control and IT-compliancy. He develops continuously by permanent education. In 2020 he finished the study Executive Master of IT Auditing (specialized in “Cyber Security”) at TIAS.

The strength of Selcuk is his drive to continuously improve. He has carried out various projects in both profit and non-profit organizations. Often these projects characterize improvement paths / changes (in processes, structures, systems and cultures) set up /manage internal control / administrative organization, planning and control process adjustments, and implementation of risk management. The goals within all these projects were to have better design, control/management, and accountability.

His personality can be described as a balanced person who can handle the tension between strategical/tactical management and operation. He has persuasive power and ability to control things and knows how to cope with resistance. He has a positive critical attitude, is a motivator, has excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and acts proactively with a result-/solution-oriented approach. With his empathy and organizational sensitivity, he knows quickly to create support and is a fullfledged business partner at all levels.

He can collect, (data)analyse and assess relevant information to draw the right conclusions. He knows to organise very well by detailed planning, making good arrangements, distinguishes main issues and side issues, getting the right people at the table, and getting together the result.

He can work both in a team as well as independently. In various assignments, he has directed, supervised, conducted audit work, and provided technical support. He dares to confront people and challenges them without losing their involvement. He continuously considers the correct use of time, money, and quality.

Finally, he acts in accordance with the rules of conduct for the accountants in business, is integer and loyal but treats independently and objectively with sense of responsibility.
