Eleftheria Touloupaki
Project Manager
INZEB
Heraklion, Greece
I am an Architect engineer and project manager with extensive academic and professional experience in the design and construction of energy efficient buildings.
About me
I have 10 years of professional work experience in environmental design and sustainable development. As a certified C’ class energy inspector of buildings in Greece, I have audited over 40.000 sq. meters, most of them belonging to the public and tertiary sectors. I joined INZEB in 2014 as a research and communications associate, giving presentations at conferences/educational seminars/meetings, preparing reports on energy poverty, energy efficiency of buildings, participating at the organisation of stakeholder meetings, roundtable discussions, and communication with international partners for the projects and activities of INZEB. I have participated in EU funded projects such as POWERPOOR, dealing with energy poor households, SMAFIN and SMAFIN expanded on energy efficiency investments, and iBRoad, and iBRoad2EPC on building renovation passports. I am a project manager in INZEB since 2020 and have authored many publications dealing with energy poverty and energy efficiency in the buildings sector.
My organisation
Since 2014, INZEB as a non-profit independent organisation with a continued focus on a sustainable and energy balanced future is working in the areas of energy efficiency in buildings and the built environment, energy efficiency innovative financing, energy poverty mitigation, and evolution of energy communities. INZEB’s aim is achieved with the support of an interdisciplinary team of experts who generate and disseminate scientific insights, research results and innovative programmes.
INZEB’s endeavour is based on the encouragement and support of the constantly evolving energy sector through research, documentation, consultation, and implementation of plans and capacity building programmes for national, European, and international projects.
By working closely with an extensive network of EU institutions, national, regional, and local authorities, NGOs, and academic and business sectors at national, European, and international levels, INZEB has built valuable partnerships that enable knowledge exchange on energy related domains and empower the ability to implement, disseminate and exploit scientific based project outcomes towards sustainable energy transition and climate change mitigation.
