Talofa lava. I hope to provide an indigenous perspective on the manner in which decarbonization and circularity does and might play out in the Pacific.

About

Mike Davis’ research at Waipapa Taumata Rau / the University of Auckland is practice based. It operates in two modes: In projects where knowledge is embedded in actions and outcomes; and in text which often reflects upon the projects to explicate the embedded knowledge. He is active with MĀPIHI: Māori and Pacific Housing Research Centre, and the Future Cities Research Centre. His principle focus falls on the agency of architectural practice in island economies of the Pacific in the context of climate change. Mike holds a Master of Architecture in Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association, London, and a PhD from RMIT, Melbourne.
