Energy Communities 2050 (Briefing Room FR)

Around 45% of renewable energy production in the EU could come from citizens by 2050, and energy communities are a clear enabler of this projection. In this two-part workshop, the first session will address technologies and user engagement, with participation from the LocalRES, MASTERPIECE, DE-RISK, RESCHOOL, and COMMUNITAS projects. The second session will address regulations and barriers, with participation from the COMANAGE, SUSTENANCE, BECKON, ACCEPT, and FEDECOM projects. The solutions and insights from these ten EU projects are crucial to support the growth of energy communities.
