AI to speed up the circular transition

Artificial intelligence (AI) offers many ways to promote a circular economy and responsible business. It can be utilized, for example, in optimizing energy efficiency, waste management, improving recycling, and assisting in product design. Circular economy thinking starts with product design.

AI is already widely used for supply chain management and data-driven decision-making. At its best, AI promotes sustainable innovations and accelerates our progress towards a responsible future. However, AI also creates challenges, such as the significant carbon footprint associated with data transfer.

During this session, we will meet SMEs that offer and utilize AI services in different countries. They will explain what solutions already exist to help us achieve the SDGs faster, how we can avoid pitfalls, and how AI can reduce its carbon footprint.
