This a unique opportunity to get behind closed doors and see for yourself the major Big Science research facility in Lund, ESS.

13:00 Gather at Lund C, and travel together to ESS
The bus leaves from Bangatan 12 in Lund (outside the shop Lekia), please see map. 
18:00 Visit ends at Lund C

The number of places is limited, and will be assigned on a “first-come, first-served” basis.

The facility in brief:
ESS
ESS, currently under construction in Lund, Sweden, will be a multi-disciplinary research facility using the world’s most powerful neutron source, based on particle accelerators and spallation technology. ESS will provide neutron beams up to 100 times brighter than those currently available, which will enable groundbreaking research in a wide range of areas, including the environment, health, materials, and energy.
