Reeta Huhtinen

I have a PhD in Physical Chemistry and have previously worked as a researcher at Åbo Akademi University and the Universities of Turku and Aston (UK). I have also worked as a product development chemist in an SME and familiarized myself with the commercialisation of university innovations. I have worked at Business Turku for several years and I feel that my academic background has been useful in supporting the sustainable growth of technology companies. On the other hand, business in line with the green transition will also require new kinds of partnerships and the introduction of new business models, which I am also interested in discussing with companies.

Since 2015, I have been involved in building the Smart Chemistry Park innovation platform for bioeconomy and circular economy companies, thereby supporting the development of the companies' operating environment and business. At the moment, I facilitate Smart Chemistry Park activities in Raisio. Smart Chemistry Park offers companies a network and operating environment that supports their growth, with laboratory and office facilities in the industrial area as well as hall facilities suitable for piloting.
