About me
Graduate degree in Psychology, followed by an MBA. Founder of Pragya. Winner of Whitley Gold Award for International Nature Conservation (2000).
Began my career in consulting. Transitioned to development sector, setting up Pragya in 1995. Hyper-focused on conservation and sustainable development of communities on the margins.
Conservation work in the Himalayas, addressing flora and fauna, habitats and landscapes, and climate risk management and sustainable livelihoods, across length of Indian Himalayas.
Working on coastal and marine ecosystems along the Bay of Bengal, addressing at-risk species, mangrove ecosystems, setting up NbS, disaster risks and sustainable livelihoods.
