About
Exo Engineering Int. Ltd specialises in Nature inclusive design for ecologically enhanced marine and coastal infrastructure. In collaboration with clients, we have developed ecologically enhanced scour protection for windfarm pylons, cable routes and eco-rock armour for landfall sites. The technology upgrades traditional barren rock or plastic fronds with low carbon thriving reefs to attain biodiversity gains. Our company strategy targets mass deployment using conventional methods, in order to make these eco engineering concepts accost effective, commercially viable alternative to traditional hard engineering solutions.
Our R&D team has worked for the past years on Greening the Grey® technology, applying our unique surface texture enhancements and 3D design elements to form rapid colonising artificial reefs. Research shows that through GeoBlock® Technology, that recycling of up to 90% low carbon by-products, such as quarry waste and dredged materials, supports the circular economy to meet low carbon targets. The combined technologies produce nature inclusive products such as an Eco Reef for application at offshore wind installations to provide scour protection. With our in-house design expertise, we can tailor products for specific projects and work with clients to meet their objectives. We welcome opportunities for strategic cooperation and partnership for innovative projects in Asia.
The technology we are offering is a sustainable, low carbon, biodiversity enhancing scour protection as a capping layer or standalone product, retrofitted or as new built for cable routes or pylons. These products are ready to meet windfarm ambitions of working "Towards net positive impact" by 2030 (Vattenfall, Environmental responsibility) and the UN 2050 vision of ‘’Living in harmony with Nature’’. Our products help tackle the issue of marine biodiversity decline by creating unique reef like structures through our Greening the Grey® and GeoBlock® technology. This helps marine organisms to settle and offers a sheltered habitat, hereby creating a haven for marine life.
