Demo Day UPortunity - the ETH Start-up Accelerator

These legal notes are issued by UBS Switzerland AG and ETH Zurich (“We”). In the context of the Demo Day, we collect and process the following personal information: Personal details (e.g. data collected for the registration, video production data, profile photo and your IP-address) ("Personal Data").

We collect and process your Personal Data for the purpose of the organization of the Demo Day for engaging in prospecting and business development and / or protecting and enhancing the UBS and ETH Zurich brand (the "Purpose"). Your Personal Data may be processed by UBS Group companies in Switzerland, ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and B2Match in Austria (service provider) to carry out the Purpose. 

We will retain your Personal Data for 12 months to fulfil the Purpose. You have a right to access and obtain information regarding your Personal Data that we process, object to the processing of your Personal Data, request the erasure of your Personal Data, request restriction on the processing of your Personal Data, and withdraw your consent to process Personal Data. If you believe that any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you may also request the correction of your Personal Data.

Participation in the event is at your own risk. It is the responsibility of the participants to have appropriate insurance coverage.

Please note that we will be taking photos of this event and/or filming this event. This also includes the participants being photographed and/or filmed (“the Coverage”). The images may be used for advertising, public relations, commercial or other business purposes . By registering for this event, you agree that we are granted perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide permission and rights to use the Coverage to the extent described above in media or other channels, in particular in digital and electronic media, print media, films and on the UBS or ETH Zurich intranet, including the right to edit the Coverage.

Representatives of public media will be present at this event and may take photos of participants and/or film them. By registering for this event, you agree to the publication of these images in the public media. This event is organised and presented by ETH Zurich together with UBS Switzerland and is not exclusively open to UBS guests. Representatives of ETH Zurich will be present at this event.

At this event, you will have the opportunity to take part in an online survey using your personal device, such as a smartphone. Please note that such surveys are conducted via an external service provider (“service provider”). Your personal data (such as IP address) are transmitted to the service provider for this purpose. The data processing (especially the use, purpose, and storage location) depends on the regulations of the service provider. UBS has no influence on the data processing and accordingly assumes no liability in this regard. If data is transmitted abroad, it may no longer be protected by the laws of your country and may be subject to foreign regulations that permit forwarding of the data to responsible local authorities or other third parties.
