Caritas Lithuania

Caritas is a worldwide Catholic organisation that provides a wide range of humanitarian aid to people in need, regardless of age, nationality, faith, gender or other differences. We are the second largest humanitarian aid organisation in the world.

Caritas Lithuania has about 290 employees and over 4,500 volunteers. In the 35 years of our activity in Lithuania, we have developed a network of children day care centres and family support services, responding to the needs of the sick, the lonely ones and the elderly. We are providing food, clothing and other items to people with needs, helping those who are experiencing homelessness, violence and addiction. Youth in Caritas reduce the technological exclusion of the elderly, while other Caritas workers and volunteers help migrants, refugees, convicts and the unemployed to integrate into society.
