Beijing Shuimu Dongfang Medical Technology Co., Ltd., founded in 2017, was awarded the nameplate "Beijing Medical Robotics Industry Innovation Center" (hereinafter referred to as the "Innovation Center") by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology in 2018. The Innovation Center is the only Medical Robotic Technology and Industry Collaborative Innovation Platform established under government guidance in China. In December 2019, it was accredited as a "Key and Core Technology Incubator" at Zhongguancun Science Park. In April 2021, it signed a contract to become a key enterprise in Haidian District. In December 2021, it was authenticated as a "National High-tech Enterprise". In 2022, it was approved as the first batch of innovation bases of "Innovation China". In 2023, it was approved as the "Public Service Platform for Industry Technology Foundation" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Based on two platforms with a combined area exceeding 323,000 square feet, which include the Medical Robotics Public Service Platform and the High-end Medical Device CDMO Outsourcing Service Platform, the Innovation Center has obtained the certifications of ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems for Medical Devices (TÜV, Germany), ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management Systems (BSI, the United Kingdom), and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems. It is the first CDMO platform in China to have obtained the certification of "CDMO for Active Medical Devices". It has successfully introduced 30 top global projects from China, Germany, the United States, and Japan. With more than 10 strategic investments completed, it has incubated and cultivated 1 unicorn company, 2 quasi-unicorn companies, and 12 national high-tech enterprises. Among its products, 7 have entered the innovation channel, 8 have been awarded the Registration Certificate for Medical Device (Class III) by National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), and 5 have been awarded the Registration Certificate for Medical Device (Class II) by NMPA. Its services have been provided to such key enterprises as Beijing TINAVI Medical Technologies Co., Ltd., SinoUnion Healthcare Inc., Shenzhen Shengqiang Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Anlong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. In addition, its service customers include medical institutions, universities, and colleges, such as Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Peking University Third Hospital, Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and the Institute of Automation, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is committed to achieving an industry agglomeration effect in Beijing by providing services about production & manufacturing in Beijing and new paths for domestic implementation to enterprises located in other provinces or cities and overseas with products capable of filling international and domestic gaps, such as Shanghai Raykeen Laser Technology Co., Ltd. and Neusoft Medical Technology Co., Ltd. Relying on the professional support of the CDMO platform, it has significantly shortened the prototype iteration period by more than half, improved the output efficiency by 80%, reduced the development cost by 60%, and increased the achievement transformation rate from 10% in China to over 80%, surpassing the level of 50% in developed countries.
