About me

Anthony Pym is Professor of Translation and Intercultural Studies at Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain; Professor of Translation Studies at the University of Melbourne, Australia; Professor Extra-ordinary at Stellenbosch University in South Africa; and Honorary Professor at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. He was President of the European Society of Translation Studies from 2010 to 2016 and has translated professionally since 1987. His most recent book, with Yu Hao, is How to Augment Language Skills (Routledge), on the use of machine translation and generative AI in language teaching and translator training.
