About me
From terminology to data management, is this a sign of the times? Maria Rzewuska-Waligora graduated with a degree in linguistic studies from Warsaw and pursued a career in EU integration. Following Poland's accession to the EU, she joined the EU institutions. With experience in IT project management, architecture, and analysis at the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT), she became the head of the terminology unit in 2020. Since 2024, she has been leading the data management unit, focusing on people management, terminology coordination, and language data processing.

DG Translation of the European Commission ensures that important documents, legislation, and information are accessible to all EU citizens in their languages. We enhance transparency and foster technical innovation by providing high-quality language services.
