I deal with effects of industrial transition on jobs/competences. I have contributed to EU roadmaps related to low carb. industries and human-centered tech.
The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is Austria's largest research and technology organisation. Among the European research institutes, AIT is a specialist in the key infrastructure issues of the future.
Wolfram Rhomberg is an Expert Advisor at the Center for Innovation Systems & Policy and joined AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH in 2006. He studied Sociology at the Universities of Vienna and Edinburgh where he specialized on sociology of science and technology as well as methods of socioeconomic analysis (quantitative as well as qualitative methods). At the business unit he is engaged in RTD-policy consulting projects, technology foresight activities, the evaluation of R&D programs and business surveys dealing with firm innovation and digital production technologies. He has worked in several international and national projects for both Austrian and European administrations. In the thematic priorities of manufacturing technologies and KET he has coordinated and conducted several R&D strategy projects and road mapping processes. On European level he contributes expertise and participates in several foresight studies dealing with new forms of innovation processes, mainly in manufacturing industries and related academia, but also including cross-cutting topics as effects of digitalization on jobs, qualifications and competences, non-technological innovations and social innovations. Recently, he has contributed to several European studies/roadmaps and evaluations related to the digital and industrial transition, human-centered technologies in manufacturing, and the decarbonization of industries / green transition.
