Action 2 - International Collaboration and Horizon Europe Webinar
In September 2024, UK Innovate hosted an information session for Integrated Biorefineries participants interested in learning more about participating in Horizon Europe calls, how to apply, build consortia, and more. The event included presentations about the Mission, the recently opened Horizon Europe funding call supporting biorefineries (Horizon-CL5-2024-D3-02-03), as well as the recently launched Community Network to facilitate networking and consortia development.

Action 2 - Webinar on New Uses for Biomass in Bio-based Fuels, Chemicals and Materials
In January 2024, UK Innovate hosted a webinar focused on new and emerging uses for biomass for value-added chemicals and materials with presentations from 156 participants representing business and governments from 21 nations exchanged strategies to increase the economic sustainability of biorefineries by generating higher value products, with a focus on disseminating MI activities and international collaboration.

Action 3 Workshop on Energy and Conversion Process Efficiency
Canada, represented by the Canadian Forest Service at Natural Resources Canada, hosted a workshop on improving energy and conversion process efficiency. The aim of the workshop was to better understand current challenges and areas for opportunities.
The participants identified key factors to improving production and cost efficiency of integrated biorefineries which included improving integration/co-production, improving production of high-value goods, improving supply chain dynamics.

Integrated Biorefineries Kickoff Webinar
In June 2023, the Netherlands, represented by RVO, held an initial webinar with stakeholders from all participating countries to discuss the Mission, it's priorities, and next steps.
