About this event

The Wallonia Export Investment Agency (AWEX) is pleased to announce a significant Belgium-to-UK mission focusing on advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs).

Wallonia stands as one of the European pioneers in this field, encompassing tissue engineering, cell and gene therapies, and emerging modalities such as exosomes. With its strong ecosystem, advanced R&D, and solid infrastructure, Wallonia is an excellent partner for international collaboration.

A delegation of key players from Wallonia’s advanced therapies sector—including representatives from research institutions and innovative companies (therapy developers, CDMOs, and technology providers)—will visit Edinburgh (Institute for Regeneration and Repair) on September 30th, Manchester (Institute of Biotechnology) and the surrounding area on October 1st-2nd, and Birmingham ((Institute of translational Medicine) on October 3rd.

The on-site events will include cross presentations, pre-arranged one-to-one meetings, and sessions designed to foster partnerships, share insights, and explore collaborative opportunities with UK entities.

In addition, one-on-one meetings can be scheduled online outside of the event timetable, during, and after the mission, providing flexible opportunities for engagement.
