Canada-Vietnam Education and Research Partnership Forums

The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) in Vietnam and the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) are co-organizing a series of partnership events in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on October 10 & 12, 2023, between Canadian and Vietnamese universities and other key stakeholders.

These events, which are taking place in the context of the 50th anniversary of  diplomatic relations between Canada and Vietnam, aim to explore and expand opportunities for Canadian international education institutions interest by the Vietnamese market – Vietnam’s being Canada's largest ASEAN trading partner and a priority country in the Canadian International Education Strategy.

These forums' main objective is to facilitate engagement and discussions between Canadian universities and Vietnamese education stakeholders towards potential academic collaborations. Participants will gain a better understanding of Canada and Vietnam’s current education environments, available partnership opportunities, and create new relationships or build on existing ones.

• Roundtable discussion with key education stakeholders

• B2B Matchmaking between Canadian and Vietnamese institutions

Target participants: leaders, decision makers at universities, research institutes, and other education stakeholders

The TCS has contracted B2Match to develop a virtual platform to host these events, facilitate matchmaking, and schedule appointments in advance. By joining these events, Canadian and Vietnamese delegates will be able to send meeting requests and schedule appointments in advance for in-person meetings (up to 13 meetings of 20 minutes each) on October 10 & 12, 2023.

• NOTE: Please register by your work e-mail. Once your registration is approved, your account will be activated and you can log into the event platform, view other universities’ profiles, and start scheduling meetings beginning on September 19, 2023.
