At Department of Food hygiene and Public health protection, Institute of Veterinary Medicine WULS-SGGW we are a forward-thinking organization dedicated to innovation and excellence in our field. Our main fields of expertise are food safety, risk analysis, food law, public health protection, wild life protection. We are closely involved in subject of One Health concept. Our laboratories are equipped with modern equipment and conduct research in the following areas: - Occurrence of microbiological hazards in food of animal origin - Alternative methods of food preservation (high hydrostatic pressure and ionizing radiation) and predictive microbiology - Occurrence of infectious diseases in livestock and free-living animals: diagnosis, interspecies transmission and zoonotic potential - Occurrence of parasitic threats in the food chain and the phenomenon of parasite drug resistance - Genomic basis of milk production regulation in terms of milk hygiene. The staff of the Department of Food Hygiene and Public Health are experienced scientists and practitioners who actively participate in national and international research work. We work to ensure the highest quality and safety of food of animal origin. We are looking for partners in the projects related to food safety, sustainable food systems, and circular economy
