My organisation
Florence is a cultural heritage city, UNESCO site since 1982 and known worldwide as a tourist hub. The city development is strongly constrained by the need of preserving its rich heritage that often represents a boundarie to the most ambitious projects. Nevertheless, the city is fully engaged in sustainability and innovation to improve the urban environment, the quality of life and contribute to the European Green Deal objectives. In 2022 Florence was selected in the EU Mission "100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cites by 2030", in 2023 it approved the Climate City Contract (CCC) and in 2024 it was awarded with the EU Mission label.
