Lisbon SunRise: Empowering Communities with Clean Energy
About
As an investor with more than 10 years of experience in the Lisbon real estate market, I specialize in acquiring and refurbishing old buildings—breathing new life into them while improving the daily lives of the people who call them home.
As part of our long-term vision, we are now taking a major step toward sustainability by introducing solar energy systems into our buildings. This initiative is designed to lower energy costs for residents, promote energy independence, and support Portugal’s green energy goals.
Importantly, we own the buildings outright, giving us full flexibility to test and implement energy-efficient solutions such as solar panels and other technologies aimed at reducing dependence on the grid. This creates a unique opportunity for innovation and real-world application of sustainable systems in urban residential environments.
To successfully implement this initiative, we are looking to partner with professionals and companies in the following areas:
Funding & Grant Assistance
We seek a partner with in-depth knowledge of public and private funding mechanisms in Portugal and the EU. The goal is to identify suitable funding programs (e.g., TRI 7: Mission, which aims to make both new and existing buildings active participants in the energy system), prepare the necessary technical documentation, and submit applications for financial support.
Solar Panel Installation
We are looking for an experienced solar energy installation company or contractor to design and install photovoltaic systems tailored to our buildings. This includes rooftop or integrated solutions, energy storage (if applicable), and ongoing system monitoring.
Solar Architecture & Engineering
We want to collaborate with solar architects or engineers who can integrate solar solutions that complement the aesthetic and historical character of Lisbon’s architecture. The goal is to balance functionality, energy efficiency, and heritage preservation.
