Inductive Heating of Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) for High-Temperature Applications
Research Assistant and Team Lead "Ceramic Matrix Composites" at Chemnitz University of Technology
Germany
About
We want to research and develop a ceramic composite (CMC) material, in detail C/C-SiC, that can be inductively heated to temperatures of about 2000 °C. An air stream is guided through that material and thus heated up.
The basic prinicple was already proven: https://doi.org/10.3390/ma17102175
We are a consortium of three partners (1xCZ, 2xDE) for material manufacturing (DE1) and inductive heating (DE2) as well as simulation of the magnetic field (CZ).
We seek for partners with possible tasks:
-
Coating of CMC for oxidation protection
-
Flow simulation of air through hot structure
