Climate change effects on renewable energy potential: an open platform for decarbonisation strategies
About
The idea is to create an open access platform for forecasting renewable electricity production, to bridge the gap between cutting-edge scientific research and societal needs. This platform will allow both the academic and non-academic communities to make informed decisions regarding renewable energy performance and expansion in the face of the challenges posed by climate change, contributing to the decarbonisation of the energy supply. This will be achieved by using very high resolution regional climate modelling to assess the future availability and variability of renewable energy resources under different SSP climate change scenarios.
