Local Public Body is Looking for Consortium (Çorlu Municipality)
About
Our municipality has taken significant strides toward sustainability through the implementation of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP). In alignment with this plan, we have set an ambitious target to reduce our carbon emissions by 40% by the year 2030. This commitment is further reinforced by our signing of the Covenant of Mayors, reflecting our dedication to transitioning towards a carbon-neutral future, in line with the principles of the Paris Agreement and the New European Bauhaus initiative. In this journey, we have initiated concrete steps to transform our municipal infrastructure. One of our key initiatives involves transitioning the energy supply of our municipal building entirely to renewable sources. This reflects our endeavor to lead by example, demonstrating how public institutions can adopt sustainable energy practices to significantly reduce their carbon footprint. Furthermore, we are embarking on an ambitious project to convert our public transportation fleet into hybrid vehicles. This initiative aims to foster an eco-friendly and efficient public transport system, significantly contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable mobility within our city. These ongoing efforts highlight our commitment to creating a greener, more livable, and inclusive urban environment for our citizens. We believe that the integration of sustainable practices into urban planning is crucial for building resilient communities. We are enthusiastic about collaborating with partners who share our vision for sustainability and look forward to contributing our expertise and experience to projects that aim to create a sustainable future for all.
