As Çorlu Municipality, we are located in one of the most dynamic and industrialized regions of Turkey, with a population of 300,000. We have implemented numerous projects on energy efficiency and sustainability and have taken a leading role in environmentally friendly practices. Çorlu Municipality has extensive experience in European Union projects and has successfully participated in various projects within the Erasmus Plus, Interreg, and Horizon programs.
Our municipality is particularly active in areas such as renewable energy resources, zero waste management, and sustainable urban planning. Within the scope of the Clean Energy Transition (CET), we have the experience and capacity to develop and implement projects in areas such as solar energy systems, green infrastructure, and energy efficiency. Additionally, we recently obtained the "Zero Waste Certificate," demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.
As Çorlu Municipality, we aim to establish strong partnerships under the CET framework to create innovative solutions, achieve energy transition, and promote sustainable development goals. We are highly motivated to share knowledge and experiences with cities across Europe and develop projects that will enhance energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint in Çorlu. As Çorlu Municipality, we are actively working within the framework of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) and the Covenant of Mayors, demonstrating our commitment to energy efficiency, climate change mitigation, and sustainability. In this context, we have set concrete goals to reduce carbon emissions and promote renewable energy projects. As part of the CET partnership, we aim to leverage this experience in international projects and collaborate with cities across Europe to accelerate clean energy transition processes.
