Integrated regional mapping in living lab Weiz+
About
In TRI5 - integrated regional systems - we would like to address the stakeholder involvement of key stakeholders in the region with significant energy consumption, flexibility potential and resource demands. Spatial energy planning efforts often rely on unreliable, hard-to-get and limited data from industry and commerce.
We address Dimension 2 by organizing the smart and user-oriented data gathering for all industries, business owners and others key actors like district heating operators, waste water treatment plants, etc. This will be done by a combined approach of smart and user-oriented digital tools and personal interaction to deepen the understanding of the region's goal of achieving net-zero emission in all sectors and by this work towards Dimension 3. Key stakeholder will benefit from tailor-made, automatic suggestions on energy efficiency, resource efficiency and renewable energy integration by integrating technology models in the digital tools (Dimension 1). Existing tools of AEE INTEC have integrated machine learning algorithms that base on measures suggested in energy audits.
By this we want to establish the framework to monitor and track energy and resource consumption, implemented measures, etc and support stakeholders and the whole region on the pathway to zero for the upcoming 7 years (expected time frame of living lab Weiz+).
We are looking for partners with similar approaches and would like to act as Austrian use-case.
