Empowering Renewable Energy Communities: A Bottom-Up Approach to Address Stakeholder Challenges and Unleash Community Assets
About
We are a research institute in Sweden and we have developed a project
Now we are looking for relevant partners to join the project.
The project aims to explore, create, and deploy integrated local energy systems in communities, focusing on exceeding 100% renewable energy integration by 2030. Utilizing a bottom-up approach, communities are seen as active stakeholders in co-creating solutions, addressing region-specific challenges, and fostering ownership and sustainability. The project emphasizes cross-sectoral integration and innovation ecosystem development in collaboration with local stakeholders and research organizations.
Expected outcomes/impacts (potential):
-
Developing Scalable Integrated Energy Models,
-
Demonstration and showcasing,
-
Cross-Sectoral Collaboration Framework,
-
Providing Tools and guidelines,
-
Community Empowerment,
-
Developing Innovation Ecosystem,
-
Policy Recommendations,
-
Public Awareness
Potential Impact:
The project accelerates the transition to clean energy sources while strengthening social cohesion and local economy by enabling local and regional need owners to actively participate in renewable energy efforts. Innovative solutions create economic growth by building resilience and flexibility deailng with environmental issues through cross-sectoral collaboration. Policy proposals that are well-informed help to maintain a stable regulatory environment, encourage private investment, and ensure long-term sustainability. The project has an impact on others by raising public awareness and encouraging behavioral change, inspiring similar initiatives around the world. Finally, this project not only mitigates climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but it also provides the framework for empowered, resilient, and environmentally aware communities, establishing an example to follow for a greener, more interconnected world
