Fair and equitable transition to climate neutrality projects - we are looking for partners from all science fields
About
We are the Kelso Institute Europe Berlin, a multinational research organization supported by the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. Our institute aspire to be the “missing link” between social science and engineering in order to support a fair and equitable transition to climate neutrality. Achieving a Just Circular Society, including vulnerable and marginalized people, requires a holistic approach. We employ an international and diverse team of engineers, lawyers, economists, and political scientists, embracing perspectives of psychology and philosophy. We are looking for partners from all fields to join forces, covering topics such as:
-
technical advances for energy efficiency measures and co-financing in the building sector;
-
behavioural changes towards energy efficiency and demand flexibility in households;
-
the socioeconomic effects of (co-)ownership in renewable energy assets;
-
the fair distribution of ills and benefits inside energy communities;
-
acceptance and stakeholder engagement in the wind energy sector;
-
policy-recommendations for (renewable) energy communities through the identification of best practices and possible strategic models form a system-perspective;
-
the analysis of the energy market drawing on institutional theory and legal institutionalism;
-
the definition of wind and other natural resources as a common versus a a private good.
