About
Our SIES2022 project established VPP and VPP Value Assessment Modelling Software Environments implemented at the SIESVPP Centre, a physical test and devlopment centre, and also at remote 'Energy Pools' that act as demonstration sites and living labs with end-user engagement and 'real world' feedbacks from industry partners and industry and private customers. For example the network at Findhorn Village in the north of Scotland is fully instrumented including 675kW wind, PV, EV, 75 buildings (commercial and domestic) plus several Affordable Housing Blocks with energy centres of PV, Heat Pumps, storage, EV and VPP controls. We also have ongoing projects with Local Authorities and Private Organisations on Housing, Commercial, Districts, Campus, Industrial Estate, Industrial Process. There are good potentials for a demonstration and a living lab service to be provided, ideally together with some wider technology and R+D collaboration.
