About

The Gas Hydrate Facility (GHF) of the University of Chieti-Pescara is specialized in several high-pressure processes, is equipped with patented reactors to study the aspects of interest of processes under specific conditions. We are able to test several reactions in vessels of different volumes, with a fine control of pressure and temperature and continuous data recording. We can carry out experiments at constant pressure or in pressure drop conditions, generating temperature ramps or isotherms. We are able to evaluate in situ and ex situ the chemical and physical characteristics of the gases present in the reactors as well as the materials inside them by using spectroscopic techniques. We also offer the possibility of synthesis and modification of specific materials for catalysis, hydrogen technology and CCUS.
