In the context of the EU-Japan Green Transition initiative, we are particularly interested in expanding our green tech R&D portfolio ("Clean Planet Programme", cleanplanet.icfo.eu) in the following topics:

1. Power-to-fuels (hydrogen, e-fuels, ammonia, C/N chemicals) and CCUS, with emphasis on sustainable materials (Earth abundant catalysis) and up-scalability.

2. Next-generation photovoltaics for decentralized applications (vehicles, buildings, farmland), with emphasis on light management via photonics.

Therefore, we are actively looking to:

  1. Foster collaborations for R&D development with SMEs and large companies.

  2. Build consortiums for EU/National/regional funding schemes.

  3. Open paths for industrial PhD training.
