We are the Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Our research group consists of experts specializing in various aspects of energy systems, including renewable energy technologies, energy markets, energy communities, and energy system modelling. We focus on developing optimization problems from multiple perspectives, with a particular emphasis on stochastic programming. Our work also incorporates macroeconomic analysis to assess the broader impacts of energy transitions across sectors such as power, gas, and transportation. Our research spans a wide range, from detailed studies of individual building energy systems to comprehensive assessments of large-scale energy transitions across Europe. We are actively engaged in European research initiatives, contributing to over twenty European and national projects aimed at advancing innovation and strategic development in the energy sector.

Our team is highly active in European research initiatives, currently participating in over twenty European and national projects.
