My organisation
StorTera designs and manufactures innovative energy storage systems along with bespoke power electronics, controls and software. Our main innovation is the single liquid flow battery, a promising technology with one energy dense, rechargeable liquid comprised of low cost, abundant and natural materials. It offers a lifetime of over 20 years with minimal degradation in efficiency as well as being designed with circularity and sustainability at its core. We have a range of scalable energy storage products that include Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery technology that can be adapted for specific applications and customer needs. We have also developed an artificial intelligence-based control and monitoring system that provides customers with visibility of their renewable energy and battery assets and optimises the performance of energy storage.
About me
Brenda is Chief Operations Officer and Director at StorTera. She has helped build the company to a team of 20 scientists and engineers who are driving the development of the novel Single Liquid Flow Battery (SLiQ) technology and software platform.
Brenda is driven to create the next generation of battery technology through innovation to build a low cost, sustainable and safe technology that can help unlock the full potential of renewable energy. She has helped secure almost £8m in Government funding and been responsible for the delivery of over £2m of commercial projects for businesses, communities and councils.
