Çukurova University, founded in 1973, is among the top universities in Turkey. The university is located on a 2000-hectare main campus that includes a regional teaching hospital, academic and administrative buildings, sports fields, conference facilities, libraries, a research farm, a techno-park, and many recreational areas. About 45,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate education in 16 faculties, from medicine to engineering, basic sciences, social studies, and the arts. Science, Social, and Health Institutes offer graduate studies to more than 5000 students in more than 200 programs.
